David Almeida
David Almeida is pursuing a master’s degree in Data Science from Universidade de Lisboa. He is currently working on the project for his thesis focusing on the impact of crisis on public trust in science.
With an interest for work at the interface of science, culture and society, he’s seeking to conduct research that is relevant to tackle today’s societal challenges, such as discrimination, misinformation, inequality and corruption.
Besides science, he is passionate about improv and stand-up comedy, as well as student-led associations for social good. He is President of the National Association of Biology Students (ANEBio), an initiative that seeks to promote scientific outreach and collaboration between biology students from all around Portugal, as well as strive for good quality Higher Education and better prospects in academia.
David has a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from FCT NOVA.
