POSTDOC RESEARCHER

Ana Vranić

Ana Vranić is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Social Physics and Complexity (SPAC) group. She joined SPAC to study and deepen her understanding of biases and fake news spreading in online systems.

Previously, she investigated online social systems using complex network theory and statistical physics methods and explored how underlying network mechanisms can shape network structure, how collective phenomena emerge in the system, and what influences the growth and sustainability of online communities. She is also interested in data science and big data analysis.

Ana has a degree from the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade. For her master's degree, she studied condensate matter physics. She completed her PhD thesis in complex systems at the Scientific Computing Laboratory (SCL) at the Institute of Physics Belgrade.
