SPAC in the 11th International Conference on Computational Social Science (IC2S2) – Norrköping, Sweden

From July 22 to 24, two researchers from SPAC, Íris Damião and Cristina Mendonça, took part in the 11th International Conference on Computational Social Science (IC2S2), held in Norrköping, Sweden.

During the conference, Íris Damião presented two papers: “Elections in the age of algorithms: assessing political bias in Search Engines and LLMs” (#1033) and “Do Fake News Spread Faster than Real News? An Analysis of Twitter Across Different Topics” (#1010). Cristina Mendonça presented the study “A little scientific knowledge is associated with the highest overconfidence levels and negative attitudes towards science” (#991).

Participation in this international conference provided both researchers with an excellent opportunity to share their results and exchange ideas with researchers from around the world.
