Researcher Lília Perfeito, from the SPAC group, has secured funding for the project HealthDisrupt – A Public Health Tool for Monitoring the Impact of Disruptive Events on Health Diagnoses at the National Level.
With grant code 2024.07331.IACDC, the project is co-funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), with the Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics (LIP) serving as the beneficiary institution.
The project aims to monitor prescription drug use in Portugal and analyse how disruptive events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, affect the functioning of the healthcare system. By providing timely evidence on these impacts, HealthDisrupt will support informed decision-making and strengthen preparedness and response to future public health crises.
