Carlotta Burzio defended her thesis, entitled “User-Source interaction patterns in misinformation spread: analyzing source consistency and source-topic relationships in a fact-checked Twitter dataset.”
Her thesis was supervised by Dr. Luca Dall’Asta, Dr. Joana Gonçalves de Sá, and Dr. Ana Vranić, as part of the course Physics of Complex Systems at Politecnico di Torino, Italy.
From April to September 2025, as part of an internship at LIP in Lisbon, she worked closely with SPAC group members Dr. Joana Gonçalves de Sá and Dr. Ana Vranić, while also having the opportunity to meet and collaborate with the wider team.
